Supportive Care Yoga

Supportive Care Yoga (SCY) is partnering with BCI to help restore your holistic health and wellness throughout your treatment and beyond into recovery and survivorship. The yoga classes are suited to all levels of fitness and abilities and are an evidence-based complimentary health practice.

Yoga can help reduce stress, get a better night’s sleep, moderate pain and fatigue, stimulate your memory and access inner resources of energy. It can also help strengthen your mental health and emotional resilience.

In the yoga classes you’ll be supported to:

  • Improve your movement and posture
  • Breathing techniques
  • Guided Relaxation
  • Mindfulness and meditation
  • Maintain physical function
  • Learn self-care practices for a well-balanced lifestyle.

SCY run every Tuesday from 6 to 7.30pm and Thursday from 11am to 12.30pm at Seminar 7, Westmead Education and Conference Centre on Level 2 Westmead Hospital. All onsite equipment is available and you’re welcome to bring your own yoga mat.

Your first class is free. A 10 class yoga pass is $90, download this information sheet for more payment information.
