The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI) 18th Annual Breakfast at the Waterview Restaurant, Bicentennial Park was a huge success by all accounts. Over 220 people including patients, staff and supporters, regular attendees and many new faces participated on the day.
We were welcomed by our Master of Ceremonies (and previous guest speaker) Fiona Neill and presented with a touching yet humorous story from our patient guest speaker Carol Boulous.
Dr Susan Grayson, Staff Specialist and BCI Designated Radiologist also gave us a lively and informative presentation on Breast Imaging – What do we Do? and in particular about Tomosynthesis and MRI procedures.
The highlight of the morning from the many comments received were our surprise entertainers “Singers for Hire”. Kept totally under wraps before the event, everyone was pleasantly surprised when what appeared to be our waiters and the chef broke into song in the middle of our guests. It was lots of fun with everyone joining in the entertainment.
