Ray of Hope Breakfast - a great morning

The Ray of Hope Breakfast, held at the Waterview Convention Centre on Saturday 23 October 2010, was a great success with approximately 200 people in attendance. The annual event, organised by the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI), is a celebration of life for women and men affected by breast cancer and their family and friends

At this year’s breakfast guests were entertained by the talented group of young misicians, Red Beret. A perfect spring morning meant the verandah at the Waterview was the perfect place to sip champagne and soak up the sun. Guests were delighted with the goodie bags they found on their seats, and all enjoyed a delicious 3 course breakfast.

An exhibition of art created by graphic design students at the Nepean Arts and Design Centre has become a feature of the this annual breakfast. The posters express the theme of Hope in breast cancer. All breakfast guests had the opportunity to vote for their favourite poster.

The Ray of Hope Breakfast is held every year in October, the international month for breast cancer awareness.
