Patient Age: 60

This 60-year old patient presented with a nine month history of an enlarging right breast mass. On direct questioning the patient stated that this increased more rapidly over the last 2 to 3 months.

The patient is a busy professional and ran a solo business making attendance to health professionals difficult.

  

Clinical findings: a diffuse mass measuring 20 x 20 cm replacing the breast with areas of impending fungation and erythema. The tumour also had a bosselated appearance.

No nodes were palpable.
