Young B-Mail: A Breast Cancer Mailing List for Young Women

Would you like to talk to someone who is in a similar situation to you?
Try joining Young B-Mail

Young B-Mail is an Email support group for young women affected by breast cancer.  There is no age restriction for Young B-Mail.  Younger women with breast cancer often have special issues to deal with during and after cancer treatment.  Issues like fertility, talking to young children about cancer and working during treatment if you want to are all particular challenges for young women.

If you are facing young women’s issues, join Young B-Mail and talk to other women in the same situation.

Young B-Mail was developed with funds by the Best Breast Ball 2006.  The Ball raised over $100,000 for projects specifically for young women facing breast cancer.  The Best Breast Ball and B-Mail is supported by Greg and Debbie Castle, a young couple affected by breast cancer.

Greg and Debbie Castle

  • Greg is a physiotherapist in private practice at Westmead.  He has just completed Masters of Sports Physiotherapy.
  • His wife, Debbie, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2004.
  • Greg has been heavily involved with raising awareness and funds for breast cancer - organising the Best Breast Ball.  The Ball in 2005 raised $40,000 for the NSW Breast Cancer Institute and this year's raised over $100,000 most of which went towards Public Forum 2006.

Discussion - Opinion - Information

Many people want to share their experiences with breast cancer, or seek support from others who have traveled the same road. Young B-Mail provides the vehicle for global sharing, discussion and support about the topic of breast cancer. BreastNet™ established B-Mail, a Breast Cancer Email Support Service, to act as a distribution facility for comments, questions and information on breast cancer or related topics. Young B-Mail is an extension of this concept.

What our B-Mail subscribers have to say...

"I received so much support from this B-Mail network and now it is my turn to give back. Life does get back to normal..."

"The support from this site, although anonymous is a godsend, at times it is hard to tell the family how you are...the friends on this site UNDERSTAND silently"
