Survivors farewell superhero |

About 300 people packed the Waterview Convention Centre at Homebush on the 25th of October for a hearty breakfast and a celebration of hope for breast cancer survivors, their family and friends.

Work Begins on Three Sunflower Clinics |
|
Contracts have been awarded and work is commencing on the remaining three Sunflower Clinics commissioned by the NSW Breast Cancer Institute. Sunflower Clinics providing state-of-the-art digital breast screening facilities will be open within Myer stores at Castle Hill, Penrith and Blacktown by mid October 2009. The first sunflower clinic opened in Myer Parramatta in January this year. Eight BCI Sunflower clinics will be built in just over 8 months to increase the screening participation of women aged 50 to 69 in Sydney's west. |

Minister launches two more BCI Sunflower Clinics |

Two brand new Breast Cancer Institute NSW (BCI) Sunflower Clinics were officially launched by the Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer) Hon. Jodi McKay at Blue Mountains and Mt Druitt hospitals on the 13th of July.
