HISTORY

First presented to BCI 1997

Gynaecological History

  • Menarche age 12

  • Menopause age 47, hysterectomy age 33

  • G3P3 First full- term delivery at age 23

  • Breastfed >3 months

Social History

  • Lives at home with family

  • Non-smoker, social drinker

Past Medical History

  • Hysterectomy for fibroids and heavy bleeding, ovaries preserved

  • Hypertension

     

Past History of Breast Disease

Bilateral screen- detected mammographic abnormalities at Age 44

2.2.94 Strathfield Private Hospital

Hookwire localisation and excision biopsy RIGHT breast (3 o’clock, 4cm from nipple)

Histopathology: 16mm well- differentiated ductal carcinoma Grade 1 with an insitu component and with positive margins. Receptors: ER weakly positive; PR weakly positive.

Hookwire localisation and excision biopsy LEFT breast (12 o’clock, 7cm from nipple)

Histopathology: 12mm invasive ductal carcinoma Grade 1 with an intraduct component. Receptors: ER moderately positive; PR moderately positive

Patient elected to proceed with bilateral mastectomies.

9.2.94 Strathfield Private Hospital

RIGHT mastectomy and axillary clearance.
Histopathology: No residual carcinoma; 0/12 lymph nodes involved.

LEFT mastectomy and axillary clearance.
Histopathology: No residual carcinoma; 0/26 lymph nodes involved

No adjuvant treatment.
