Patient Age: 92

  • Radical mastectomy in 1959 followed by DXR
  • presents with a one month history of lymphoedema
  • arm function slightly restricted because of arthritis
  • seen at Westmead BCI on 2 August 2000

Clinical findings:

  • 5 cm difference in girth 10 cm below the olecranon
  • erythema noted around inner arm and pacemaker
  • radical mastectomy scar
  • telangiectasia – IMC region consistent with previous DXR
