The Ray of Hope Fundraising CampaignRay of Hope represents the philosophy of the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, that by providing the most innovative, specialist and professional care available today the BCI can offer early detection, accurate diagnosis and effective treatment to give each woman a Ray of Hope in their battle against breast cancer.
The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute Ray of Hope Fundraising Campaign is to Support Women with Breast Cancer Today and Every Day.

The Ray of Hope Dinner held on August 13, 2009 at the Art Gallery of NSW, was the inaugural fundraiser to raise much needed funds for a new digital BreastScreen mobile van, a part of the BCI Sunflower Clinic network. The van will travel to less accessible areas of Western Sydney and beyond to increase the availability of free breast screening.
The second Ray of Hope Dinner, held on August 19, 2010 at the Art Gallery of NSW was successful in helping us reach our goal of $1M to launch the Van early 2011. Please see our Media Release for more information.
The BreastScreen Van will have improved reporting times as the images will be beamed back directly to Westmead Hospital for analysis; the image quality from the latest screening equipment will be greatly enhanced for better analysis by two doctors. This all combines to allow women to have their regular mammograms in a more convenient and comfortable environment with reliable results.
The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute would like to thank our Principal Sponsor Arab Bank Australia, our Principal Print Partner GEON Print and Communication Solutions, our Gold Sponsors Novartis Oncology and Channel 9, and our Silver Sponsors GE Healthcare, Ralph Lauren Pink Pony and Santos Coffee for their ongoing support of the Ray of Hope Campaign.
