About BreastScreen NSW Sydney West

BreastScreen NSW Sydney West is a FREE service, which aims to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer through early detection.

A doctor’s referral is not necessary.

Women can simply make an appointment by phoning 13 20 50 or call our Sydney West bookings line on 9843 3288 between 8.30 and 5.00 pm.

BreastScreen NSW Sydney West covers the Western Sydney region and is co-ordinated by the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute.

Detecting breast cancer early, when it is small and before it has had a chance to spread, is the most important factor in determining survival after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Having a screening mammogram every two years remains the most effective method for the early detection of breast cancer for women aged 50 to 69.

We have recently launched eight world-first brand new BCI Sunflower Clinics throughout the Western Sydney region offering free mammograms Monday to Friday and after hour appointments are available at our Myer clinics late night Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
