Living With Lymphoedema

hosted by Sandra Sully

Image

A unique, educational DVD all about lymphoedema, a chronic condition that may develop in the arm or chest after lymph nodes are surgically removed or treated with radiotherapy for breast cancer treatment, is now available from the BCI. Co-produced with Westmead Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Department, hosted by media personality Sandra Sully and featuring women living with lymphoedema, the DVD offers practical guidelines for managing lymphoedema.

The BCI has an innovative lymphoedema screening program to monitor women before surgery and during the first two years after surgery to detect and treat early stages of lymphoedema and prevent long-term severe lymphoedema symptoms.
