A Celebration of Hope and Survival
The Ray of Hope Breakfast held on Saturday December 5th 2009 was a wonderful event and we thank all of you who attended this year. Although this Breakfast is not a fundraiser we raised almost $10,000 towards the Ray of Hope campaign.

We would like to also thank our sponsors of the Breakfast, MYER and Novartis Oncology. We were especially grateful to receive a $5000 donation cheque from MYER presented to us by Regional Manager Mario Cocciolone.
The Westmead Breast Cancer Institute continues to be thrilled with the partnership of the Breakfast with Nepean Arts and Design College, headed by Ms. Sandi Lucock. Once again this year her students presented outstanding posters in the Art of Hope Competition, and the winner this year was Joshua Hall. View the Art of Hope Posters.
There were many other donors and supporters who we would like to make special mention for their contributions, notably Ron Taylor who presented the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute with a $3000 donation in memory of his wife Joan. And, we again would like to thank Anna Mittiga for all her fundraising and longstanding commitment to the BCI.
This year we held a successful raffle, and we would like to very much thank our donors of prizes Maui Jim; Element Bistro and those who donated product for our Gift Packs. Also deserving thanks are Arab Bank Australia for donating bag product and their continued Sponsorship as well as Sweetness who supplied the fruit marshmallows at each place setting; BeeDee Bags and Valpak for charitable support with the gift bags.
Lastly, special mention should be made to all of the Volunteers and BCI staff who worked tirelessly over the past several months to help make this Breakfast a great success and a most enjoyable Saturday morning.
