Doesn?t being active mean doing lots of strenuous exercise?
Being physically active doesn’t mean you need to go to the gym or start a strenuous exercise program; rather, the goal is to be physically active for a total of three hours a week. This can be a combination of obvious activities such as walking, bicycle riding or swimming or other things like gentle floor exercise at home, vacuuming, sweeping, or taking the stairs. You may prefer to aim to do three 10-minute bouts of exercise over six weekdays, or three one-hour walks during the week. Last Updated on Monday, 01 February 2010 14:00
